Los Lonely Boys will release a new CD, Live at the Fillmore, next Tuesday (February 22nd). The 12-track album, which captures the band's San Francisco performance last October, features songs from their self-titled debut, as well as covers and one new tune. Billboard.com reports that Live at the Fillmore includes the previously unreleased track, "Man to Beat," and covers of War's "Cisco Kid," and Richie Valens' "La Bamba."
Beyonce will be singing two more Oscar-nominated songs at the Academy Awards -- in addition to her previously announced duet with Josh Groban. Beyonce will perform "Look to Your Path" from Les Choristes, accompanied by the American Boychoir, and "Learn to Be Lonely" from The Phantom of the Opera at the event on February 27th. Billboard.com reports that there was speculation actress Minnie Driver would perform "Learn to Be Lonely," but sources say she was unable to appear due to scheduling conflicts.
Sean "P. Diddy" Combs was hit with a breach of contract lawsuit on Monday (February 14th) by Random House Inc. for failing to pay back a $300,000 advance he was given in 1998 to write his memoirs. MSNBC.com reports that Combs was hit with the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court after he failed to respond to several letters sent by the publisher dating back to 2000.
Comedy Central is denying rumors that the third season of Chappelle's Show is being delayed because the show's creator Dave Chappelle is suffering from writer's block, Page Six of the New York Post reports. An insider claims Chappelle, who recently signed a two-year, $50 million deal with the network, has been struggling to come up with new sketches. But Comedy Central spokesman Tony Fox is claiming that Chappelle and writing partner Neil Brennan are working hard on material in anticipation of the premiere on May 31.
